The Shiba Inu community has launched the much-anticipated public test network, Shibarium, in which anyone can participate. It’s worth taking part in this activity because Shiba Inu has always been committed to the idea of community, and early participants can expect to receive BONE tokens as an airdrop.
What is Shibarium? Shibarium is a Layer 2 blockchain solution for scaling the Ethereum blockchain proposed by Ryoshi, the creator of Shiba Inu. Ryoshi’s main idea was to create a blockchain with minimal transaction fees, high transaction speed, without sacrificing security.
To participate, you need to:
- Install the Metamask wallet.
- Add the Shibarium Puppy Net test network to Metamask (instructions).
- Follow ShibariumTech on social media: Twitter, Discord.
Shibarium Testnet:
- Switch Metamask to the “Ethereum Goerli” test network.
- Get test gETH tokens from one of the test faucets (FaucetQuicknode, GoerliFaucet, FaucetParadigm). If these faucets are not working, check out more test faucets here.
- Get test Goerli BONE tokens from the Shibarium Faucet in the Ethereum Goerli network (use the BONE token contract address: 0x76C2BA387d39A2B3A214E0Ba1819782369F684c1 to add it to Metamask).
- Go to the Staking section and scroll down the page to view the validators. Choose any available validator and click “Delegate”.
- In the pop-up window, specify the amount of tokens you want to stake and click “Continue”. Then confirm 2 transactions in Metamask.
- Switch Metamask to the “Shibarium Puppy Net” test network.
- Get test Puppy Net Bone tokens from the Shibarium Faucet in the Shibarium Puppy Net network (tokens will soon appear in your wallet).
- Deploy the smart contract in the Shibarium Puppy Net network (use this guide but in the Shibarium network).
- Experienced users can deploy a node in the Shibarium Puppy Net network (read more about how to deploy a node here).
